Memorial Day is Monday, May 31st this year. It is a time in which we honor those who have lost their lives in the service of our country. Therefore it is a somber time to reflect on the ultimate sacrifice given for our freedom. The Woodlands Township is planning a memorable Memorial Day Event to pay tribute to all military men and women who gave their lives for our nation.

What to Expect –

Come to expect a patriotic event beginning with the National Anthem. Have fun listening to live music. A tribute band for Johnny Cash called “Walkin’ the Line” as well as a band named, “Yelba,” will be entertaining the crowds.  The most anticipated part will be the finale, which includes a dynamic firework presentation set to patriotic music.

Service Opportunity –

As we remember the servicemen and women who died, we can also remember those that are serving our country right now. At the Memorial Day Event, you can drop-off donations to be shipped to our troops. What a great way to show them that we are grateful for them! It is a practical way to love on them.
