As Montgomery is growing, more and more businesses are calling the Lake Conroe area home. It is getting harder to be a patron of every new and old spot, but I wanted to focus on the best places to treat kids or yourself locally.

Jazzy Icy Treats
Longview Greens is a wonderful place to play miniature golf. Did you know that in its clubhouse, Jazzy Icy Treats, offers treats? You can choose a Hawaiian shaved ice or soft serve ice cream. They also have toppings for your refreshing treats like sprinkles or get a dipped cone. Jazzy Icy Treats also offers monthly specials. Be sure to check them out.
Bahama Bucks
Bahama Bucks recently opened to the public. It sits across from the KOA Campground off of Hwy 105. They specialize in shaved ice, but also offer smoothies and other treats. Bahama Bucks offers over 100 original flavors as well as toppings or additions to your icy cold treat. You can even add ice cream! It will take you awhile to try all their combinations.
Chiller Bee
If you are more in the mood for frozen yogurt, then Chiller Bee is your destination. They have 37 flavors of frozen yogurt on a rotational basis, but you will always find something that you like. They allow you to taste test as many flavors as you want before you make your selection. Stick to one flavor or do a combo of all; it doesn’t matter. Then top your fro yo with candies, fruit, syrups, etc. You pay by the weight of your cup. It is a great place to go for a treat.
Marble Slab
Let your ice cream dream run wild at Marble Slab. Not only do they have small batch ice cream, but also handmade waffle cones. An ice cream artist will mix up your ice cream combination with as many toppings as you want. Although they are known for their ice cream, they also offer sorbet, frozen yogurt, cakes and more. Only your imagination stops you at this local sweet spot.
