Christmas Celebrations

Believe it or not, Christmas is in a few weeks. You may or may not have your home decorated, but the Lake Conroe area gives you plenty of reasons to get in the Christmas spirit. Here are planned community-wide celebrations.

Christmas Celebrations & Parades

Lake Conroe Christmas Boat Parade-

On Friday, December 9th, the most anticipated community parade commences–the Lake Conroe Christmas Boat Parade. See fully decorated boats, lots of lights, and even fireworks over Lake Conroe. This year they are raising funds for Love Heals Youth Organization, which works with children in foster care.

They are already hard at work to make 2023 even bigger and better. So come out and see this year’s parade to have a baseline to compare next year’s event.

Toby Powell Conroe Christmas Celebration-

Head over to Heritage Park in Conroe on Saturday, December 10th for the Toby Powell Conroe Christmas Celebration. It begins at 11 a.m. and end at 4 p.m. Admission is free. Enjoy snow, camel rides, train rides, a nativity scene, pictures with Santa, and much more.

At 1 p.m. the 44th Annual Kiwanis Christmas Parade begins in downtown Conroe. It can be enjoyed from Heritage Park. These two events work in conjunction with one another.

Christmas in Historic Montgomery-

Also on Saturday, December 10th, you can attend Christmas in Historic Montgomery. The Christmas parade kicks off the event at 10 a.m. It is just the beginning. Following the parade, there will be a Christmas market, historic home tour, and more. There will even be snow in which children can play.

Bethlehem City

To focus on the true reason of the season, which is the birth of Jesus Christ, West Conroe Baptist Church offers a real treat to the community for free. December 1st – 4th and again on December 8 – 11th the church transforms into Bethlehem City. It is more than a live nativity. It is a special evening in which you can see the whole Christmas story reenacted. The life of Jesus is retold. Each night begins at 6:30 p.m. If you haven’t experienced this event, you need to at least once.

In the next few weeks, the Lake Conroe area offers many opportunities to get in the Christmas spirit. All of the events and parades are free of charge. Enjoy the sense of community, celebrate our Savior, and have a Merry Christmas!
