When we hear fall decor, we often imagine shades of orange and pumpkins. However, that is not the only way to decorate for autumn. Today we will explore cozy fall decor for 2024.
I ran across this channel by Tori Flores on YouTube. I liked how she used very neutral colors as well as deep wines to cozy up her home in preparation for the fall season. She makes her home beautiful without the typical fall colors or a pumpkin in sight. Let’s look at what she utilizes to make her home warm and inviting.
Natural Elements
Tori chooses marble bowls, Minka vases, wood cutting boards, and wicker-topped acorns to bring natural elements into her home. These items create visual interest with a variety of textures. The colors are neutral, too. Anytime you can bring nature into your home the better. In fact, it is one of the techniques for making your home cozy.
Lighting
Layering natural light with low lighting makes your home feel cozy, too. While it is too hot here in Texas to light a fire in the fireplace, you can include lamplight as Tori does in her kitchen. She also has several candles around her home that when lit will create a cozy ambience.
Moody Colors
Adding pops of moody colors to the neutral palette creates a feeling of coziness in the home. Moody colors are dark blues, purples, grays, and browns. In the video, Tori selects the deep wine to plum colors in her silk flower choices. She also accents with a chocolate brown. These pops of moody colors add visual interest and are just beautiful.

There is freedom in decorating beyond gourds and orange colors. Create a place that is beautiful, functional, and cozy to welcome the change of the seasons.
