Easter activities

Today is Good Friday. The day that Christians observe Jesus’ death on the cross. On Sunday, we celebrate His resurrection. Between secular Easter activities and religious events, the Lake Conroe area has a lot to offer. Let’s explore what you can do this weekend to celebrate Easter.

Secular Easter Outings

You have several choices to choose from for a weekend outing with the fam.

P-6 Farms-

In Montgomery, you can visit P-6 Farms for their Easter Farm Days from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Bring your Easter basket for their egg hunts. For children 5 years and younger, they will take place at noon and 3 p.m. For older children, the hunt will be at 12:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Also they can visit the Easter Bunny. Admission includes the usual P-6 fun like Tube Slides, Duck Races, and a petting zoo. For tickets, click here.

Margaritaville Lake Resort-

They are hosting an Easter event on Sunday from 10:30-3:30 p.m. It includes an Easter-themed brunch, petting zoo, and egg hunt. Reservations are recommended. Click here for more information.

Check out your local neighborhood. For example, Bentwater is hosting a big event on Saturday complete with the Easter bunny, egg hunt, and music.

Religious Easter Outings

Good Friday Service-

Join Lakeside Bible Church on Freeport Drive on Friday, April 15th at 7:00 p.m. It will be a time of worship, communion service, and reflecting on the work that Jesus accomplished on the cross. This service will prepare your hearts to rejoice in praise and thanksgiving on Sunday.

Easter Services-

Lakeside Bible Church will have two services on Sunday morning. One begins at 8:30. The later one begins at 10:30. Unlike most Sundays, there will be no Equipping Hour, aka Sunday school. Again, either service will include praise and worship as well as a sermon that will point you to Christ. We will be focused on the truth that Jesus Christ has risen from the dead! He defeated death and in Him we have eternal life. Now that is a reason to rejoice!

Easter activities galore! Hopefully, you can find one or more things to do this weekend to celebrate Easter with your family and/or friends. There are many other churches to choose from in the Lake Conroe area, but Lakeside Bible is my choice. You are always invited to join the church there. Regardless of what you do this weekend, we hope that you take a moment to reflect on Jesus Christ and who He truly is. He is worth celebrating!
