Easter is coming up on Sunday, April 4th. The week of Easter begins with Palm Sunday on March 28th and culminates to its climax on the 4th as Christians celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. In addition to many religious services and activities, there are many events aimed for children in Montgomery County. Today I want to show you four family-fun Easter events in the Lake Conroe area.
7 Acre Woods Easter Egg Hunt
This event is held in Conroe at 4401 N. Frazier St. on Saturday, April 3rd between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. 7 Acre Woods is hosting this free event and it is sure to be full of family fun. Kids will hunt eggs and take pictures with the Easter bunny. There is a charge for the latter. They can zipline, play mini-golf, and visit the petting zoo without paying anything. You can shop at a vendor’s market for Easter items and more. For more information, check out the 7 Acre Woods 16th Annual Easter Egg Hunt page.
Kayak Easter Egg Hunt
Taking an aquatic spin to the traditional egg hunt, The Woodlands Township is offering a fun event on Saturday, April 3rd. Eggs will be hidden along the waterway and you must row your kayak to find them. A tandem kayak rental is part of the event fee. However, you must pre-register for this event to guarantee your space. Click here to register. The cost is $35 per kayak. Once registered, head to 2101 Riva Row and enjoy outdoor fun on the water.
Church-Hosted Easter Egg Hunts
Two local churches are hosting Easter egg hunts, which are open to the public. In alphabetic order, Lake Church is collecting eggs from its members to ensure a successful egg hunt for their children, guests, and visitors. On Sunday April 4th immediately following the church service, the egg hunts will commence. They estimate a start time of 11:15 a.m. The church sits on 1701 McCaleb Rd. in Montgomery. Additionally, First Methodist Church is hosting what they call, FMC Easter Eggstravaganza. It is also Easter Sunday at 9:30 a.m. The church stands at 4308 W. Davis St. You do have to register for this event by March 31st. Follow the link above to reserve your place.
So whether you want to enjoy a business opening up its doors or you want to take to the water or you prefer a church setting, there are many Easter events open to the public in the Lake Conroe area. Regardless of which you choose, make memories, have fun, and enjoy the outdoors.
