Festivals Galore

There are festivals galore in the Lake Conroe area this weekend. In fact, you can attend one each day from Friday to Sunday. The three festivals are: Oktoberfest, the Montgomery Fall Fest, and Beer & Chips Art Festival. Let’s check out the pertinent information for all three events.

Oktoberfest

The Conroe location of the 242 Pub & Grill is hosting a big event also on Friday, October 15th. Even though it is later in the year than the original German celebration, the timing is perfect for Texas. Oktoberfest begins at 3 p.m. and lasts until closing at 11:45 p.m. The restaurant will be offering swag bags for guests. Live music will be creating a fun and festive ambiance. In addition, they are offering specials on Paulaner beer. It does not cost anything to attend; however, you are responsible for food and drinks.

Montgomery Fall Fest

Come to historic downtown Montgomery this Saturday, October 16th. Between noon and 10 p.m., the Montgomery Fall Fest will be in full swing. If you like live music, food trucks, and community, then this festival is right up your alley. Entertainers like William Clark Green, Doug Stone, and Rick Trevino will be performing throughout the day. There are many more bands and entertainers in the line-up. To see all the musicians, click here. Additionally, your children can enjoy a Kid Zone and Petting Zoo. Vendors will be there for food and drink, too.

General admission is $20 in advance. Here is the link to order tickets. However you can purchase them at the gate. VIP tickets are also available. They include front stage access and hors d’hoeuvres. Tickets for children are also available at a reduced rate. This festival brings the community from all over Montgomery County and surrounding areas to Montgomery to enjoy the (hopefully) fall weather and joys of live music.

Beer & Chips Art Festival

This traveling art show is coming to Spring on Sunday, October 17th. Fortress Beerworks is hosting the event. This local brewery will showcase over 50 local and international artists’ work. Come check it out and enjoy plenty of beer and fresh chips. Support a local brewery and local artists. This is a family-friendly event; kids are welcome. Admission is free. Enjoy the art festival between noon and 5 p.m.

Three very different festivals offer family-friendly fun this weekend. Whether you attend Oktoberfest, the Montgomery Fall Fest, the Beer & Chips Art Festival, or all of them, you will be sure to have a great time in the Lake Conroe area. Community, the arts, food, and drink are factors they all have in common. Not to mention the weather forecast predicts absolutely beautiful days and relatively cool evenings. Fall is the perfect time to attend festivals galore.
