Even though yesterday was July 4th, independence is worth celebrating throughout the weekend. The city of Montgomery agrees and plans to host Freedom Fest 2024 on Saturday, July 6th. Find out all the pertinent details in today’s article.

When and Where

Convene tomorrow in Historic Downtown Montgomery to watch the parade. It begins at 9 a.m. Then stay until 3 p.m. to enjoy the vendors and other activities.

The 2024 Theme

The theme for this year’s Freedom Fest is “Patriotic Pioneers.” It will be interesting to see how the participants of the parade interpret this theme. Will we see signers of the Declaration of Independence like Thomas Jefferson and John Hancock? Will George Washington be there? Or will we see representations of more local historical figures like Charles B. Stewart? Regardless of which Patriotic Pioneers are present, you can trust that there will be lots of red, white, and blue.

Other Activities

Freedom Fest 2024 has other activities in addition to the parade. They always have a Kid Zone with tons of games and activities geared toward children. What a great way to have family fun and teach patriotism at the same time! Additionally, peruse the Crafter’s Market. Many vendors will be showcasing their homemade wares, unique items, and lovely artisanal products. It is a great opportunity to support local businesses and artists.
