It was announced last week by Montgomery City officials that 255 acres of land was donated for future road development! This land is located near FM 1486 and was donated by the owners of the Woodard Tract. The land has an estimated worth of $5.1 million; it is because of generous donations like these that cost for road development is much lower!

The Tomball Tollway is currently being expanded according to the Harris County and Montgomery County Toll Road Authorities! Portions of Hwy. 249- north of FM 2920, are beginning Phase 2 of the road extension. Also, the construction of roads north of Spring Creek are expected to break ground the in the next 45 days!

These roads being developed are a wonderful sign of economic growth in Montgomery County. They will improve travel for shopping, development of future business and improve traffic for Southwest Montgomery. Hopefully with this economic development it will create a larger tax base, and in turn alleviate residential taxpayers!
