Today I wanted to highlight another new business that has opened in the area. You might not consider Plantersville, Texas in the Lake Conroe area, but it is super close. Between restaurants, the Texas Renaissance Festival, and Bernhardt Winery, there are more and more reasons to venture west on Highway 105 into Grimes County. Just across the county line, you will find the newest attraction, The Old Oak Taphouse.
The Taphouse
The Old Oak Taphouse seeks to promote Texas breweries. They offer numerous kinds of beer on draft. So definitely come out to try the local beer. It is one way to literally enjoy the taste of Texas. They also allow you to bring your dogs.

The Old Oak Taphouse has a cool, laid-back ambiance. They keep a stockpile of games like cornhole and dominos for you to use. Or bring your own and make new friends. Another way they are attracting a crowd is by having big-screen TVs. You won’t miss a big football game or sporting event while out with your family and friends.

In addition to Texas beer, great food, games, and sporting events, the Old Oak Taphouse in Plantersville brings in live music to entertain its patrons. They promote local talent like Bill Mock.
