Pumpkin Patches

Whether you are decorating for fall or for Halloween, pumpkins play a big role in seasonal decor through Thanksgiving. You can purchase pumpkins at grocery stores, but where is the fun in that?! Make memories and enjoy a veritable outing by visiting one of the many pumpkin patches in the Lake Conroe area.

Pick Your Own Pumpkin

You could argue that picking your own pumpkin is the true fall experience. You’re getting back to nature selecting your pumpkin in a field and plucking it off the vine. We have one place that offers this particular experience: P-6 Farms.

P-6 Farms

This popular fall destination has tons to offer in addition to a pumpkin patch, which is why admission might seem a little high. Check out this article to see what all you can do there. Current admission is $24.95 and tickets are only available online. In addition, they are only open on the weekends. However, they have both a pick your own pumpkin patch and already picked pumpkins available for sale. They also have a pumpkin house for photo ops as well as many other places on the farm to take pictures.

7 Acre Wood

7 Acre Wood is also a popular destination with pumpkins all month long. Admission is $8.50. They have a petting zoo, mini golf, a zip line, and much more for this price. Select your pumpkins from their patch. They are also running a special for $15.00. This includes admission, hay ride, barrel express ride, and a mini pumpkin.

If you are only interested in going to a pumpkin patch instead of a larger experience, then the following places might interest you more.

Bushels & Blooms

This is a farmer’s market in Conroe on West Davis St. They have a cute pumpkin patch with photo opportunities. In fact, they are running a contest for the best selfie in the patch. There is no charge to peruse the market. You will pay for the pumpkins you select.

First Christian Church

Every fall the First Christian Church on the 336 Loop in Conroe has a pumpkin patch for the public. The price of the pumpkins depend on their size. There are many places for you to take photos, too. They are open every day this month.

Hope Community Church

Every year the Hope Community Church on Freeport Drive in Montgomery steps up its game. This year they offer coffee, photo ops, and plenty of pumpkins. They are open everyday until dark.

You have plenty of places to find your perfect pumpkin in the Lake Conroe area. From actual destinations to church lawns, you can choose which pumpkin patch to visit. Or visit them all and let me know how they rate. Have fun and make memories! Then capture great photos at all of the local pumpkin patches.
