If you have not been suffering with seasonal allergies, then you are one of the blessed few in Texas right now. March is the month when yellow pollen clouds float through the sky. With warmer temperatures and nice breezes, I am always tempted to open my windows to let in fresh air. When I do, I observe my mistake with a thin layer of pollen dusting my furniture. Even if you do keep the windows shut, people traditionally deep clean their home during the spring. Therefore, I wanted to share some spring cleaning tips with you.
Don’t be like the girl in the photograph above. There is no need to pull your hair out. Sometimes we can get overwhelmed and not know where to begin.
I found this short video from Do It on a Dime. She has some really good tips for deep cleaning three rooms in her house. It was a great reminder to clean the a/c vents. And I will definitely be trying her tip with a dryer sheet. Like her, I love to use microfiber cloths.
In one day, she tackles the master bedroom, the entry/foyer, and the living room. You don’t have to kill yourself cleaning your entire house on the same day. Take one room at a time and go top to bottom. Get your family involved. Remember the saying, “Many hands make light work.”
I hope you learn a few spring cleaning tips and put them into use. A fresh, clean home is a great reward for your labor. Additionally, it might just help alleviate some of your allergies.
