Are you looking for things to do this weekend? Well, there are lots of events in Montgomery County and I will do my best to highlight most of them.

Friday, April 23rd

Texas Mineral and Fossil Show-

At the Lone Star Convention & Expo Center, the Texas Mineral and Fossil Show begins Friday at 10 a.m. It is a free event and kid-friendly. It is for anyone who is interested in seeing or buying meteorites, fossils, and gemstones. A must see for all future geologists or gemologists. It runs through Sunday.

Woman of Excellence Ladies’ Retreat-

Lakeside Bible Church is hosting a ladies’ retreat, which begins Friday and runs through Saturday. The guest speaker is Jessalyn Hutto. Her husband is the pastor of King’s Church in Conroe. She is a Christian, mother, wife, author, and dynamic speaker. The topic is “Rejoicing in Hope Together.” Space is limited so check out their site to register today.

Live Music-

Hayden Braun will be playing piano at the Walden’s Lakeview Dining from 5 – 8 p.m. While At 5:30 p.m., Jonah Miles will be playing at McKenzie’s Barbecue. You can eat great food and listen to live music. It is a great way to start your weekend.

Saturday, April 24th

KidzFest-

Conroe’s KidzFest is this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Downtown Conroe. They are expecting 15,000 people. It is a free event, too. They will have tons of activities for children, including bounce houses, face painting, train rides, and much more. Eat lunch or dinner from one of the many food trucks/vendors. This Saturday is a fun, kid-centered festival.

Live Music-

Jason Cassidy will be playing at Wave on Lake Conroe beginning at 5:30 p.m.

Don’t forget the Texas Mineral and Fossil Show as well as the Women of Excellence Ladies’ Retreat runs through Saturday, too.

Montgomery County is a great place to live. As you can see, there are many things to do in the Lake Conroe area this weekend.  So which will you attend?
