Trick or Treat Event

Most kids are looking to dress up and collect candy from willing participants in the classic tradition of trick-or-treating. On the other hand, most parents just want a safe and fun time for their children. Four years ago in 2018, Historic Downtown Montgomery filled this need for families. This year the annual Trick or Treat Event will probably be even better. Let’s explore all the details.

Date & Time

You might expect this event to be held on Halloween, but it is not. Instead, the streets will be open to the public Saturday, October 30th between 1 and 4 p.m. This gives plenty of time for the thousands of residents and guests of Montgomery County to fill their buckets or bags with candy and still have time to shop locally at the variety of businesses in Old Montgomery.

Costume Contest

Dress up in your best costume to wow the judges this year. I could not find any info on the time, place, or the prizes. However, I am sure that there will be posted information at the event. I bet there will be prizes for best costume, but even if there are not you still have bragging rights.

K-9 Kuts is also asking dressed-up pets to come by their business for a treat. So make sure you don’t leave the family pet out of the festive fun.

Local Businesses

Over 35 local businesses in Old Historic Montgomery are participating this year. Some are just offering candy. As mentioned before, K-9 Kuts wants to involve pets. The Dominion Pool Group has hired a DJ for entertainment purposes. And other businesses are offering to take photographs of your family decked out for Halloween. This 2021 Trick or Treat Event is truly a community event. It is a little piece of Americana, which is one of the reasons many people love to call Montgomery, Texas home.
