Sunday, May 14th is Mother’s Day! It is a day set apart each year to celebrate motherhood and the mothers in our families. However, sometimes we don’t know exactly how to honor them or what to get them to commemorate this day. So, we are going to explore Mother’s Day ideas as far as brunch specials and local places to shop in the Lake Conroe area.

Mother’s Day Specials

Black Walnut Cafe– They are offering brunch from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Mother’s Day. This location is right at the Conroe airport so it is a perfect setting for a mom who loves aviation and flight.

Eatery at Hodge Podge Lodge- They are offering brunch from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. It is all-you-can-eat buffet filled with gourmet items. Reservations are required.

Honor Cafe– They are offering an all-you-can-eat brunch buffet from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. You can call and make reservations at honorcafe.us. This location is perfect for any patriotic, veteran, and/or military mom as well as any woman who loves to support veterans.

202 Main– They are offering brunch all day long. It opens at 11 and runs through 5 p.m. They will have live music beginning at 1 p.m.

Margaritaville– They are offering a brunch beginning at 10:30 a.m to 3:30 p.m. You can take advantage of free valet parking. Reservations are highly recommended. And if you want to add to your gift, the St. Somewhere Spa is offering special packages for moms.

Voodoo Grille– They are offering brunch all day. They begin serving at 10 a.m. through 4 p.m. This location is perfect for any mom who loves Cajun-inspired food.

Walden’s Lakeview Dining & Venue– They are offering brunch from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Call to make reservations. This location is perfect for a lake-loving mom because the restaurant sits right on the water.

Mother’s Day Shopping

There are many places in the Lake Conroe area that might have the perfect gift for your mom.

C & S Feed and Farm Supply– Although this is probably not the first place you think of for a Mother’s Day gift, they have a selection of gifts and home decor. If your mom loves the farmhouse look or agriculture, then you should check this place out.

There are many boutiques in Montgomery, especially in the downtown area. Places like Westmont Gallery & Boutique, the Gypsy Buffalo, and Six Shooter Junction are in walking distance of each other. Further down 105, Ruthie Grace Boutique sits in a strip center. By Lake Conroe, there is Bliss Boutique and other stores in the Waterpoint Shopping Center.

You have one and a half days to figure out how you are going to honor the mother figure in your life. Hopefully, these Mother’s Day ideas were helpful.
