Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville Resort at Lake Conroe opens on June 26th a little ahead of schedule. After months of renovation to convert La Torretta Lake Resort & Spa into his vision of a lake paradise, it will be open to the public. The resort has 360 guestrooms, a spa, golf course, outdoor pools, and more on 186 acres of waterfront property. SVP Rick Cunningham said, “This resort will be a welcome escape for those in Texas’ major metropolitan areas and beyond, offering a lakeside paradise dedicated to relaxation, fun, adventure, and the Margaritaville state of mind.”
Dining Options:
New dining concepts will seek to share culinary delights with guests and the public. For instance, the Landshark Bar & Grill will offer burgers, salads, and a variety of appetizers. Patrons can choose to eat outside either on the waterfront deck or at the beach. The License to Chill Cafe & Bar overlooks both the water park and Lake Conroe. It will serve lighter fare like wraps and salads. The Lone Palm Pool Bar and the 5 o’clock Somewhere Bar will both serve food. Of course all of these options offer a variety of cocktails, beer, and drinks. Many of the restaurants are easily accessible by boat.
Conferences and Weddings:
Margaritaville also welcomes conferences with over 72,000 sq. ft of event space, 19 meeting rooms, and 11 breakout rooms. Additionally, it provides seven different venues for weddings and events along with many amenities. Margaritaville Lake Resort will attract people for many different reasons.
Their website states, “Located approximately one hour north of Houston, Lake Conroe is a premier vacation destination for families and couples wishing to escape the city, cool off, and enjoy the laid-back lake life.” Currently, they are accepting reservations if you are wanting a taste of the “laid-back lake life.” Needless to say, Margaritaville will draw people and businesses to Lake Conroe. It will be good for our community. Therefore the people of Lake Conroe and Montgomery are excited for the resort to open this month in Texas.
