Conroe Cajun Catfish Festival

One of our annual local festivals takes place this weekend. The 2023 Conroe Cajun Catfish Festival (CCC) promises to offer tons of fried catfish, great entertainment, and a bunch of family fun. To find out all the pertinent details, keep reading.

When and Where

Come to downtown Conroe and enjoy the 34th annual CCC Festival. It begins Friday, October 13th and runs through Sunday the 15th.

Why- A Brief History

The Friends of Conroe host the Conroe Cajun Catfish Festival every October. As stated before, this is its 34th year. Throughout all the years of the festival, the Friends of Conroe have served over 60,000 pounds of catfish! They have donated over $500,000 to the local community. Also, they have raised over $250,000 in scholarships.

What to Expect

Tickets are required for entry. They are $15 a person if purchased in advance or $20 a person at the gate. You can buy a day pass or one for the entire weekend. Also a separate ticket is required for Hispanic Family Day on Sunday. You can also buy catfish credits.

Expect non-stop, family-friendly music, carnival rides, food vendors, and a Catfish pageant. Also don’t forget about the catfish!

There are three stages from which live music will entertain attendees. One is dedicated to Cajun music. For example, entertainers like Bayou Roux and Wayne Toups & Zydecajun are gracing the stage. Another main stage is dedicated to country music. Performers like Coffey Anderson and the Texas Flood Band are set to play great music. You might recognize Coffey Anderson from his Netflix series, “Country Ever After.”

In conclusion, consider supporting the Friends of Conroe at their 2023 Conroe Cajun Catfish Festival this weekend. Watch their promo video to get inspired. Make sure to buy your tickets online to save a little money. Plan to enjoy the cooler temperatures, community, and catfish. Unfortunately, this event only comes around once a year so don’t miss out!
