Two Local Events

Fall is a great time in Southeast Texas. The weather is typically cooler and the pollen count is low to non-existent. Therefore, it makes for a perfect time for people to enjoy the great outdoors. This weekend there are two local events that you can attend: the Magnolia Fall Fest and the Car & Bike Show.

Magnolia Fall Fest

Bring your entire family and enjoy the Magnolia Fall Fest. On Saturday, September 25th the Magnolia Event Center is opening its doors to the public from 12-4 p.m. Admission is $1 per person. Think pumpkins. Pick out a few to bring home from their pumpkin patch. You’ll be able to take photographs in the pumpkin patch, too. They will have a photo backdrop setup with all your fall favorites. There will also be bounce houses, face painting booths, etc. Have fun outside and support local vendors.

We keep hearing that we should shop early for the holidays. At the Magnolia Fall Fest, there will be plenty of vendors selling their wares. Support local artisans and businesses while getting ahead on your gift giving game.

Car & Bike Show

If you know a car enthusiast or someone who has a passion for motorcycles, then make sure they know about the following event. Lake Church off of McCaleb Road is hosting its 4th Annual Car & Bike Show this Saturday, September 25th. It begins at 8 a.m. and lasts until 2 p.m. Vehicles built before ’87 will be on display. From undeniable classics to well-maintained older models, you will be able to see a variety of automobiles, including pick-up trucks. Awards will be announced around 1 p.m. This event is for all ages. Children can also enjoy bounce houses and face painting.

Two local events this Saturday promise to be a fun outing for the community. Get outside and have tons of fun. Enjoy the fall weather at either or both local activities. It won’t last long!
