Lake Conroe is a massive lake with many different neighborhoods along its shoreline. It would be nice to take each potential resident to the area on a tour and/or give them a guide to Lake Conroe. Apparently, Kyler Ferris had the same idea. He filmed a video tour of the lake that I want to share with you today. Consider him your personal tour guide.

Lake Conroe

Lake Conroe is a man-made reservoir that consists of almost 20,000 acres. The shoreline is 150 miles long. It was completed in 1973 so this year it celebrates its 50th birthday. It is well-stocked with different kinds of fish. And, Planet Ware named Lake Conroe the #1 Fishing Lake in Texas. It is divided into the north and south sections by FM 1097. The Sam Houston National Forest lines the northern section for the most part. While the southern section lies close to Hwy 105 and is more developed.

Lake Neighborhoods

Popular communities covered in the video are April Sound, Walden, Bentwater, and Grand Harbor. Each has its own feel and personality, if you will. Many have great amenities like golf courses, club houses, marinas, and much more. Lake Destinations

In the video, Kyler Ferris begins the tour at Waterpoint Center. It offers great restaurants from pizza to sushi. Then he takes you to Margaritaville Lake Resort, which is a great vacation destination. He also highlights places like Party Cove and the Island.
