Montgomery County has tons of churches from practically any denomination and belief system. Many get in the Christmas spirit and seek to impact the Lake Conroe community with the story of Jesus Christ. After all, He is the reason for the season. Today we are focusing on two local church events for Christmas in Montgomery County at West Conroe Baptist Church and Lakeside Bible Church.
West Conroe Baptist Church
Each year the West Conroe Baptist Church recreates the story of the life of Jesus Christ for the public. They transform their land into Bethlehem City. It is a much more grand event than a living nativity scene. You and your family get the chance to drive through the “city” and watch the Bible come to life. It is completely free.
This weekend is the last weekend of Bethlehem City for 2023 so make sure that you are in line at 6:30 p.m. when it begins. Only the first 250 are allowed in each night. They will be open on the 8th, 9th, and 10th of December. The church’s address is 1855 Longmire in Conroe.
Lakeside Bible Church
Lakeside Bible Church at 18940 Freeport Drive in Montgomery is hosting a Christmas Concert called “Creation, Cradle, and the Cross.” Hear beautiful music as well as see the connection between creation and the cradle and the cross. Allow your heart to ponder the reason for Christmas and how it affects your life personally.
This event is also free to the public and no ticket is required. Come and enjoy. The event runs to back-to-back nights on Thursday, December 14, and Friday, December 15. Expect it to begin at 7:00 p.m. and end around 8:30 p.m. The church is also offering childcare for infants and toddlers during the concert.
If you want to be reminded why we celebrate Christmas or teach your children or grandchildren the true meaning of Christmas, then consider attending both of these local church events for Christmas. They are truly community outreach events. I’m sure that there are other churches also offering Christmas events, but these two churches are purposely aiming to reach the public with the Good News of Jesus Christ.
