As Americans gear up to celebrate the day we declared our independence from Great Britain, here are the local July 4th events this year. Whether you are looking for a fireworks show or a parade, then you are in the right place. You can start celebrating as early as today!

Celebrate at Mims

Mims Baptist Church in Conroe is hosting a family-friendly event tonight, Friday, June 30th. The event begins at 5:00 p.m. with a petting zoo, mini-golf, and bounce houses. There will be food trucks. The night will conclude with fireworks.

Montgomery Freedom Fest and Parade

This event is Saturday, July 1st in downtown Montgomery. The parade will begin and end at Clepper Drive. In addition to the parade, which starts at 9 a.m., there will be live music, vendors, and a kid’s zone.

VFW Independence Celebration

VFW Post 4709 in Conroe will host a fun event also on Saturday the 1st at their location on Semands Avenue. It begins at 11 a.m. and ends at 2 p.m. There will be many different outdoor games and activities, including a dunking booth and bounce houses. Enjoy hotdogs and snowcones, too.

Stars and Stripes Celebration

The city of Conroe is hosting a Stars and Stripes Celebration at Heritage Park. It begins at 6 p.m. and runs until approximately 9 p.m. They will have activities for children, food trucks, and live music. The event will end with a fireworks show.

Bentwater Fourth of July Celebration

This lakeside community has a great fireworks show over Lake Conroe. It can be seen all over the Lake Conroe area. This will take place on the night of the 4th. If you are a resident of Bentwater, they have a full day planned of celebrations from a parade to a delicious Independence Day buffet. There will be live music and fun activities for the family.

The Woodlands also has many activities and events, including the 26th Annual Red, Hot, and Blue Festival and Fireworks Extravaganza. There are many locations to have great views of the fireworks.

Celebrate our freedom at local 4th of July events! The Lake Conroe area offers many opportunities to observe our Independence Day all weekend long and on Tuesday. Where will you attend?
