Just a quick drive down Highway 105 W, you can see the difference in the one light town of Plantersville. Years ago, it was a completely rural community with a few stores, a few restaurants, and a post office. Now the Aggie Expressway lies just south of the town, which has enabled residents to access city conveniences easily. Currently Highway 105 is under construction as the road widens. It just doesn’t look the same as a few years ago.

As the city grows, more and more people will look to move to Plantersville. Until now, you would look for land and then build your home on it. Small acreage is super hard to find so people live on larger spreads of land. However that is changing. Now there is a new development in Plantersville in the works at the corner of 105 and FM 1774. The Cedars

As long as I have been alive, one family has owned this ranch in Plantersville. It has a prime location for real estate being that it sits at the corner of the only main intersection in town. The Butler family along with NewQuest Properties have plans to turn the ranch into a new development. Of course, there will be phases to the development of the 1,080 acres.

First Phase

High Meadow Development Co., the same company that built High Meadow Estates in Montgomery, is already marketing the project. They have marked off 126 lots to build single-family homes. Each home will sit on one to four acre lots.

Other Plans

There are a total of six phases planned for this development. This seems to include commercial development, too.

The face of this once small Texas town continues to change. Now more and more people will call it home with this new development in Plantersville. With low taxes, good location, and beautiful countryside, it is no wonder that people will want to move there. To read more, click here.
