Fall Season
This year opening day is October 1st. P-6 Farms opens its doors every weekend through Sunday, November 6th. Therefore you have 12 chances to experience all that this family-friendly farm has to offer. Hours of operation is 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Farm’s Location
To the west of Montgomery off of Highway 105, you will find the sign for P-6 Farms. More than likely you will see the line of cars before you see the sign. However, their physical address is: 9963 Poole’s Road, Montgomery, Texas. Not far from where you turn off the main highway, you will see the farm and parking lot.
Family Tradition
To many families in the Montgomery area, going to P-6 Farms is a family tradition in the fall. At the same time, the owners of P-6 Farms are also following their own family tradition. The Poole family has owned and operated P-6 Cattle Company since 1973. In 2011, Bo Poole, the son of the original owners, opened up the farm to the public with a corn maze. His intention was to “incorporate teaching agriculture into everyday life.” As they say, the rest is history. Each year P-6 Farms seems to expand and offer more to the public. Now they are not just opened in the fall, but also in the spring and summer.
Fun Activities
From the corn maze, which changed the farm into an attraction, to the infamous pig races, there are so many fun things to do at P-6 Farms. It is filled with photo ops either ones staged or candid. Therefore make sure to bring your camera. Pick your own pumpkin from the field or select yours from a pile of already picked ones. There is no better way to get into the fall spirit.
