Top Lake Conroe Communities

Today we are exploring the top Lake Conroe communities with The Conroe Living Channel with Jeff West. Whether you are new to the Lake Conroe area or have lived in Montgomery County your whole life, it never hurts to learn more about your community or even learn if you live in one of the top neighborhoods on the lake. With so much recent growth in the area, it is a great opportunity to see for yourself the homes, amenities, and potential of each lake community.

Top Five Lake Communities

According to Jeff West and his Conroe Living Channel, they have selected what they believe are the top five Lake Conroe communities in which to live. Here they are in no certain order:

April Sound

This lake community began in 1972 and is still considered one of the best. What sets it apart? The amenities do. You can play 27 holes of golf, swim in five pools, play tennis or Pickleball on 12 courts, eat at the Country Club, and more. Not to mention, they offer a marina for easy access to the lake. Despite being an older community, April Sound is still the place to live.

Seven Coves

Seven Coves is a community in Willis, Texas, which has the landmark lighthouse on the lake. Seeing the aerial shots you can see why people want to live on this side of the lake, especially if they are not golf aficionados. Because of the lack of a golf course, prices here start at a lower point. In addition, the architecture and style of many of the homes is unique to the Lake Conroe area. Seven Coves is definitely a community one should consider.

Bentwater

This neighborhood lies between Willis and Montgomery near the 1097 bridge. It is a beautiful community with tons of amenities. Bentwater has 54 holes of championship golf as well as many golf professionals to improve your game. In addition, it has a fitness center, tennis courts, Pickleball courts, restaurants, a spa, and more. Each 4th of July they host a spectacular fireworks show for residents. Bentwater is one of the premier neighborhoods along the shores of Lake Conroe.

Walden

Walden sits on a peninsula; therefore, it has many properties on the lake. Like April Sound, the community also began in 1972. It takes full advantage of its location on the lake and capitalizes on its private golf course. In addition, it offers swimming pools, boat ramps, a marina, a fitness center, and restaurants. Walden’s Lakeview Dining & Venue offers high-end dining with amazing views of the water. Walden certainly deserves to be on this list.

Chambers Creek

This community is still in development, but because of its vision and planning, Jeff West selected it as one of the top five lake communities. Chambers Creek is also the only 55+ community on the list. I explored this planned community back in 2021 with this article. You can find out their master plan as they create an amazing neighborhood for the retired. In addition to beautiful homes, they have a wellness center, pools, courts for tennis and Pickleball, and a marina. Unlike other communities, Chambers Creek has a vineyard. So if you are over 55 years of age, consider moving to Chambers Creek.

I hope you enjoyed Jeff West’s video and seeing the top Lake Conroe communities in his opinion. Do you agree? Or is there a missing lake community that deserves attention? Let me know. Regardless, this video and post give you great information about five different communities along Lake Conroe. Hopefully, you learned more about this growing area.
